Luxury Holiday Homes Phuket

In the past thirty years, Phuket in Thailand has developed from a sleepy fishing and agricultural village into a world-class, sophisticated, tourist destination, attracting people from all over the world to holiday and live in the tropical sunshine. Rustic tourist facilities have been replaced by upmarket restaurants and shopping malls; as well as the opportunity for tourists to live like locals, by purchasing luxury holiday homes right in the heart of one of Thailand’s premier resorts.

Phuket is nominally an island, although joined to the mainland by a causeway, and operates very much on island time. The pace of life is laid back and relaxed. But the influx of potential Western buyers has sparked a plethora of holiday home developments, built to stringent international standards.

Buyers of these luxury holiday homes can enjoy the raft of new amenities presently being built on Phuket, including several first class marinas and top-flight golf courses.

Retirees can live year round in Thailand in their luxury holiday homes with no visa restrictions, and those not yet of retirement age can visit often, visa-free.

There are now luxury holiday home developments in many of the main resorts on Phuket, including Patong, Kamala, Karon and Kata. It is the aim of the Tourist Authority of Thailand to make the country, and especially Phuket, as foreigner friendly as possible.

Foreign owners of luxury holiday homes can rent out their properties to recoup their investment and running costs, and with the popularity of Thailand’s premier tourist isle soaring, there would certainly be no shortage of people willing to rent a luxury holiday home for their exotic tropical vacation.
