Entering this villa you get an instant feeling of space and style. The large L-shaped central swimming pool draws your eyes across the property to the incredible view across the ocean to Koh Phangan. This is a villa with an obvious Thai influence in the choice of artwork, traditional furniture and artefacts, and yet it maintains a crisp contemporary feel due to the individual style and colours selected. For example; the majority of the artwork is Thai, in subject, but painted in a very contemporary style using bright colours that are not commonly associated with such designs.

Three pavilions are positioned to create the central area which houses the pool and sizeable sala. The first pavilion, on the left as you enter, is parallel to the golden beach and has three en-suite twin bedrooms, the third being separated from the other two by a well planted, recessed garden area. The rooms all have polished dark wooden floors, solid hardwood furniture and are dressed with attractive ornaments and the delightful paintings. Each en-suite bathroom has a twin marble sink unit and natural stone-tiled showers. At the end of this building is a pathway bordered with plants that leads to a further bathroom.

The next pavilion is at a right-angle to the first on the left of the property looking towards the sea. In here there's a double bedroom with a very large en-suite bathroom. Next to that there is a beautiful carved wall feature set into a recess and surrounded with tropical plants. As you pass that you come to the Master suite. In here there's a double bed; vaulted wooden ceiling; and more traditional paintings, depicting scenes of life in ancient Thailand. There's a dressing area that leads into the en-suite bathroom where a large bathtub takes pride of place, with windows opening into an inner garden area and carved wall feature. To the front of the master suite is a sun terrace with sala and sun-beds.

A wide manicured lawn leads across the width of the property to a low wall with private entrance onto the beach. On the opposite side to the master suit is the final pavilion which has a bar, dining and entertainment room facing the ocean to the front. Sliding doors open and lead through an inner garden area to the open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. This is a very large room with polished wooden floors and very stylish, high-quality furniture. There's a further bathroom and the wide entrance into the stone floored kitchen. An impressive island feature is surrounded by top-branded fitted appliances in natural wood units.

In the centre of the courtyard is the blue-tiled L-shaped pool with water feature. And, to finish off is a very large sala with Thai-style roof and sun-beds and chairs to sit and relax in comfort whilst enjoying this sophisticated villa.

Set in one of the most desirable and beautiful residential areas on the island Baan Puri is a truly exceptional villa. The stone wall and heavy wooden gates give a hint of the style and quality that awaits you inside this tropical oasis. Everything about this property exudes luxury and excellence; and a more spacious, well designed layout would be very hard to find.

Once you are through the imposing entrance, contemporary stone pillars form pathways on either side of a large lily pond. To the right of this is the double garage and the staff quarters and to the left is a beautifully landscaped garden with children's play area.

As you walk along the trellis covered pathway, where the stone pillars are punctuated with tropical pot plants, there's a single storey pavilion on the left that houses two bedrooms.

The first has twin beds, a wooden vaulted ceiling and a wall mounted 42" flat screen TV. In the en-suite there's a dressing area, twin sinks and an indoor rain shower.  Adjacent to the bathroom is a discrete private landscaped outdoor shower area. The room looks out onto the front garden area, the walkway and the water feature.

The second bedroom has an exquisite teak four-poster bed dressed with white drapes. This room is delightfully furnished with birdcage-styled standing lamps and heavy teak furniture. This en-suite also has a dressing area, twin sinks and indoor and outdoor showers. Doors open out with a view across the rear garden, pool and the ocean.

Directly in front of the entrance water feature is the impressive two-storey pavilion. The ground floor consists of a stunning open-plan living area. Set at the right end is a stylish kitchen with a dark slate-tiled floor and contrasting white units. There's a central island feature with all the high quality appliances you would expect.

At the other end of the room is a magnificent chilled wine cellar storing up to 400 bottles, running across the width of the room, which serves as a backdrop to a ceiling mounted 100" cinema screen. The hardwood floor in the living area together with fully opening doors at the front and rear help to bring the outdoors in, and the wall-less appearance creates a light, airy and cool living space. It also maximises the incredible views across the terrace, the pool and the beach. The lounge area is furnished with stylish, yet comfortable lemon coloured sofas, some interesting ornaments and antiques such as a large oriental gong, and solid teak coffee tables. The dining area is dominated by a matching teak table, which easily seats 12 people.

There's a large terrace area which is partially covered allowing for outdoor dining, entertaining or simply sitting and enjoying the view. The artwork has been extended to the outdoors with beautiful wall hangings.

To the left of the room is a feature open staircase that leads up to the first floor. A walkway leads to two further bedrooms that share a sizeable balcony at the front, a large sunning area and a further staircase that leads down into the garden and pool area. This balcony also forms a useful covered terrace in front of the downstairs lounge.

The upstairs bedrooms combine luxury, practicality and the outstanding view. Each has a dressing area and an open-plan, glass-walled en-suite bathroom allowing you to enjoy the views whilst soaking in the free-standing terrazzo bathtubs. Both rooms are beautifully furnished and accessorized and include 12" rain showers, 50' plasma TVs and built in wardrobes.

Taking the staircase down into the landscaped garden the overwhelming size of the property becomes apparent. A large lawn and landscaped area separates the terrace in front of the living area from the pool terrace and runs all the way down the right side of the property to the sala.

To the left of the pool is another pavilion with a further double bedroom with its own inner garden area, which has an eye-catching dark stacked slate waterfall. The bedroom has a wooden vaulted ceiling and another teak four-poster bed, which is again dressed with white drapes. Brightly coloured cushions decorate the sofa at the foot of the bed looking across the pool. A separate walk-in dressing room has a similarly colourful and comfortable sofa facing the wardrobes, which doubles as a large bed capable of accommodating two young children. This links into an exceptional en-suite bathroom. There are twin sinks, an indoor shower room and for sheer indulgence it has a private, romantic sunken terrazzo bathtub that literally sits at the pool's edge. A sliding wooden privacy screen can be utilised when required.

The final pavilion is a mirror image of the other complete with the same exceptional en-suite bathroom and poolside bathtub. However, this room looks directly onto a further terraced area,with its own magnificent oversized teak daybed, that leads into the garden and down onto the white sandy beach.  Both poolside bedrooms also have their own poolside terraces and loungers.

The beach sala is situated right at the edge of the pool, opposite the beachfront bedroom pavilion and has a double sided bar area, so that you can relax at the bar either in or out of the pool. A dining area, all-weather seating, Sonos music system with Bose speakers and bbq complete the features of the sala.

The enormous 100' long blue-tiled infinity pool has permanent, sunken beds and has been designed and shaped to work with the individual style and layout of the property. The crystal clear pool is an ideal lap pool and is entirely chemical free using the latest ionizing technology and robotic cleaning.

At the top of the central stone steps there’s an incredible seashell sculpture which draws your attention and directs your eye’s through the property to the ocean beyond.

The next level in the main villa has a similar layout with two beautiful bedroom pavilions (Bedrooms two and three). These rooms share a private front garden with a covered Sala. Both have flat-screen TVs, audio systems, king size beds, walk-in wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms with twin-sinks and walk-in showers. One bedroom also has a free-standing bathtub, in the outdoor bathroom, and a secret garden. The other bedroom has an outdoor shower with ocean view.

This level is home to one of the villas most magical features, the outdoor “Cinema Paradiso”. A screen comes down from the pergola outside bedroom two and a complete home theatre and audio system is concealed within the garden. The entire lawn can be converted into a moonlit movie theatre within minutes. There’s even specially designed deckchairs and beanbags available. Just add popcorn for an unforgettable cinema experience under the stars.

Stone steps lead you down to the sensational communal level where you’ll find the breathtaking lap pool, relaxing Salas, the living and dining areas, the kitchen and the café bar.

Glass doors run across the entire front of this pavilion and open the living space onto the lawn and pool. The mirrored back wall ensures that the epic view is always the main focus of your attention. The room has been accessorised with natural coloured furniture, bright cushions and quirky contemporary artwork. It has a very modern style which is extremely comfortable and inviting.

A huge wooden dining table is surrounded by white and chrome chairs; this is a great area for socialising and spending time with your friends and family. The innovative dining table provides the option for a large square table for 8-12 guests; it can be split to offer cosier more intimate meals; or it can be arranged as a dramatic long banquet table for gatherings of up to 20.

A very special feature of this level is the café. The centrepiece is a massive solid teak island with trendy stools. The high style of the gloss finished cabinets, glass-fronted wine fridge and classic appliances are enhanced by mood lighting systems which create a casual and comfortable space for coffees and poolside drinks during the day, but transforms into a sophisticated bar area at night.

This room opens into a gladded courtyard with an ancient fig tree and a gas barbecue. Beyond the café there is a fully fitted kitchen with high quality appliances. Also to the left of the kitchen there’s an outside bathroom and shower for easy access from the pool. To the left of that there’s another relaxing thatched reading Sala complete with a day bed.

Across the seemingly never-ending front of this pavilion there’s a bamboo and glass covered terrace, which fuses onto a lawn, lined with sun-beds; and of course the swimming pool.

The scale of both the pool and living level is visually striking. The infinity lap-pool stretches for 22 metres and has an oversized Sala at one end, furnished with comfortable and fun furniture.

This living and dining room is a huge single space which matches the pool in proportions. The whole level has been cleverly designed to be a functional and social area which embraces the exceptional location and the stunning ocean views.

Steps lead down to the next level which houses the master-suite (Bedroom 1). Outside the master-suite there’s a covered private terrace and a flat lawn area which runs across the width of the property. Inside the room you’ll find a king size bed, flat-screen TV and audio system, walk-in dressing area, and luxury en-suite bathroom with twin-sinks, walk-in shower and stunning outdoor bathtub overlooking the sea.
